Shifts at Sandy Spring Bank

Sandy Spring Bancorp Inc., of Olney, the parent company of Sandy Spring Bank, announced that Hunter R. Hollar, the company's chief executive officer, has been named chairman of the board of the holding company and the bank. Earlier it was announced that Hollar would retire as Sandy Spring's CEO at the end of 2008.
Until that time, Hollar will hold dual positions as chairman and CEO. Upon Hollar's retirement as CEO, Daniel J. Schrider, the company's president, will be named CEO, according to a previous announcement.
