New SBA initiative outlined

Federal and city officials jointly announced a U.S. Small Business Administration initiative to identify and provide resources to 20 Baltimore inner-city businesses that exhibit a high potential for growth. Baltimore is one of 11 cities nationwide selected to participate in the Emerging 200 Initiative, which will focus on providing small businesses with organization management, growth strategies and management, market development and strategic planning. There is no charge for the service; however, there are certain criteria regarding years in business, gross revenue and location that must be met. Applications must be received by May 30.
