Daily Record, The (Baltimore), May 16, 2008

Foundation Coal Holdings Inc., of Linthicum Heights, one of the nation's largest coal mining companies, said a roof collapse idled part of its Emerald mine in Pennsylvania for at least two weeks. No one was injured, the company said. Production of steam coal used by power plants will be reduced by 210,000 to 240,000 tons during repairs, the company said in a statement.

The company expects to make up most of the lost output by year-end. Production should resume in 14-17 days.
