Transmission line meetings planned on Eastern Shore

Daily Record, The (Baltimore), May 23, 2008

Delmarva Power is planning a series of five public meetings on the Eastern Shore to enable the public to comment on plans for a 230- mile electric transmission line extending from Northern Virginia, through Maryland and Delaware, to New Jersey. The 500-kilovolt transmission line is called the Mid-Atlantic Power Pathway.

About 35 miles of the line would travel through Dorchester County and would connect to a substation in Vienna. The exact route is still being decided. The first meeting was scheduled to be held Thursday at Taylor's Island in Dorchester County.
