University of Maryland University College, the second-largest public university in the United States and one of the largest public providers of online higher education in the nation, announced that it has signed an agreement with the California State University, the largest senior university system in the United States, to expand educational opportunities for members of the U.S.

military services. Under the agreement, CSU campuses will accept transfer credits earned at UMUC in a number of specified programs and courses; in turn, UMUC will accept transfer credits earned at CSU, allowing students to apply them toward a UMUC bachelor's degree. Disciplines to be covered include business administration, psychology, computer science and information systems management.
