An article in the Sept. 23 edition of The Daily Record omitted Peter Pronovost, 43, a critical care physician at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, from a list of the newest class of MacArthur Foundation "genius grant" recipients. Pronovost, who is a professor of anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and medical director of the Center for Innovation in Quality Patient Care, devises new clinical practices for hospitals that improve patient safety and avoid human error.
The Daily Record regrets the error.
