OSHA unveils safety and health Web page for residential construction
Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Aug 18, 2004 by The Daily Journal
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration unveiled a Web page last week for the nation's residential construction workers.
Titled OSHA Assistance for the Residential Construction Industry, the page provides information about OSHA standards and hazards present in residential construction. It also provides detailed information and links to related OSHA enforcement policies, various electronic tools and training courses.
The page is a product of OSHA's alliance with the National Association of Home Builders.
Employers and workers can access information that can be used to develop and implement safety and health programs and link to sites that identify the hazards of residential construction and possible solutions.
This new (Web) page focuses industry-specific safety and health information that can help employers and workers establish and maintain safer worksites, said OSHA Administrator John Henshaw in a prepared statement.
For more information, or to visit the Web page, go to http:// www.osha.gov/SLTC/residential/index.html.
