Wells Fargo appoints business banking position
Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Sep 2, 2004 by The Daily Journal
Hadley Robbins has been appointed as the head of business banking in the Portland metro area for Wells Fargo.
Robbins started in the position Sept. 1, replacing Mike Foglia, who retired at the age of 57.
The 48-year-old Robbins, a Newberg resident, first joined Wells Fargo in 2003, when the bank acquired Pacific Northwest Bank, where Robbins had been working as a senior credit officer. During the transition, he stepped into a role as integration manager.
His background in financial services dates back to 1979 when he served as a consumer lending officer at First Interstate Bank in Portland. He later worked in positions as a credit officer, an accounts receivable manager and a credit administrator. He eventually moved into roles as regional manager of credit support services and regional consumer operations manager for First Interstate.
Foglia started as a teller in 1970 at First National Bank of Oregon in Portland, which later became First Interstate Bank. He entered First National's management trainee program and worked his way up the ranks as an assistant cashier in correspondent banking and as a calling officer in the national accounts division.
From 1977 to 1983, he managed two bank locations in Portland, focusing mainly on corporate clients, and then was promoted to positions as senior vice president and regional vice president of community banking.
In 2002, he was promoted to the role of head of business banking, the position from which he retired recently.
