HemCon leases more space at Cascade Business Center in Beaverton

Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Nov 15, 2004 by DJC staff

HemCon Inc. has signed a 31,808-square-foot expansion lease at AMB Property Corp.'s Cascade Business Center, 10575 S.W. Cascade Ave. in Beaverton. HemCon currently occupies 10,330 square feet at the center.

Founded in 2001, HemCon develops, manufactures and markets dressings and wound care technologies to control bleeding and infection resulting from trauma or surgery. The HemCon Hemostatic Bandage was recently awarded a $6 million U.S. Department of Defense appropriations contract to enhance production of the bandage.

We've really enjoyed doing business at Cascade Business Center and are excited to have the opportunity to expand here as our business grows, said HemCon President and Chief Executive Officer John W. Morgan.

Tenant improvement work on the 10-year deal will begin immediately and occupancy will take place upon completion.

Dave Ellis and Mark McFarland of Trammell Crow Co. represented AMB Property Corp., and Cliff Finnell of Colliers International represented HemCon in the transaction.

This will take the project to over 90 percent occupancy, said Ellis, Trammell Crow senior vice president. HemCon has been an excellent tenant and we're pleased to be able to accommodate its expansion.
