Three partners found Catena Consulting Engineers

Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Dec 8, 2005 by DJC Staff

Catena Consulting Engineers, a consulting structural engineering firm, has been established in Northeast Portland by managing partner Christopher L. Thompson and partners John S. McDonald and Paige C. Viehouser.

Thompson brings nearly 20 years of engineering experience to oversee the practice and the firm's business development. McDonald, with 12 years of experience, will focus on business development and technical quality and document coordination. Drawing from 12 years of marketing experience, Viehouser is responsible for marketing, accounting and administrative operations.

Four engineers join the founding partners to round out the team. Jake Stept and Jared Lewis join the firm as associates, with primary responsibility in project production, as well as assisting with business activities. Engineers Gretchen Hall and Jason Holland will focus on project production.

The firm plans to provide services throughout the Northwest, and is currently working on projects that include phase two of the University of Oregon Lillis Business Complex, the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnology Institute at the University of Oregon and the Daisy Kingdom-Desoto Building renovation.
