U.S. Trust hires VP and portfolio manager

U.S. Trust has hired David M. Gewant as a vice president and portfolio manager and promoted Timothy P. Chapman to senior vice president.
Gewant will work closely with the firm's affluent clients to customize U.S. Trust's range wealth management services.
Gewant brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry including wealth management. He earned a Bachelors of Arts in history from Denison University in 1990 and studied finance and wealth management at New York University and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
Chapman will be responsible for relationship management and marketing wealth management services to high net-worth individuals, families and institutional clients including, foundations, endowments and corporations.
Chapman brings more than 18 years of experience in investment management, retirement, estate, tax and financial planning to U.S. Trust. Chapman earned a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the University of Oregon in 1987, and is a certified financial planner.
