DESIGN

LRS Architects Inc. has hired William (Buddy) Smith, Mary McGilvra, Bruce Barton, Kenneth Klos and Tom Gibbons as senior project managers, Cole Cabler as a project designer and Craig Moore has joined the firm's IT department.

Smith earned his bachelor's in architecture from Louisiana State University and is currently performing construction administration for Laurelhurst Village in Portland and Riverhouse Commons in Tualatin.

McGilvra brings 23 years of design experience to her work at LRS, which currently includes Blazer Development's mixed-use project in Lake Oswego. She received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Oregon.

Barton has worked as a project architect on numerous education projects and several LEED certified civic projects throughout Oregon during the last 16 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Oregon and is assigned to Dorn- Platz Properties' The Round in Beaverton for LRS.

Klos comes to LRS with 25 years of and experience in civic and multi-family project design across the country. He received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Oregon. Currently at LRS he is working on the Prestige Plaza project in Vancouver.

Gibbons is coming to LRS with more than 23 years experience in high-rise, mixed-use and education projects. He is licensed in four states and received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon. Gibbons will be managing Weston Investment Company's new Manhattan Tower project in downtown Portland.Cabler joins LRS as a project designer with experience in CAD and 3D project design and modeling for renovations, multi-family housing and commercial projects. Cabler will earn his Bachelor of Arts and Letters from Portland State University in December and is assigned to the Clackamette Cove mixed-use project in Oregon City for LRS.

Moore is a new addition to the IT Department at LRS with nearly 14 years of a variety of computer and web site programming and design experience.
