DESIGN

Walker Macy has promoted Zeljka Carol Kekez, who served the firm as marketing/business development director, to principal. Kekez provides leadership in strategic planning, human resources and business management.

Kekez received her M.B.A from Wichita State University and is currently working on her doctorate.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Normandeau Associates Inc. has hired Dena Horton, former district representative for U.S. Rep. Brian Baird and the 2003 General George C. Marshall Public Service Leadership Award recipient, as public involvement project manager.

Horton most recently was program manager for the Southwest Washington Agency on Aging. She is a current board member of the Clark County Skills Center Foundation, Evergreen High School Dollars for Scholars and Gonzaga University Alumni Mentoring Program.

A graduate of Gonzaga University, Horton is also a member of the 2003-2004 Leadership Clark County class. She has completed course work towards a master's in public affairs at Washington State University, Vancouver. While on Rep. Baird's staff from 2000 to 2004, Horton, among other duties, facilitated relations with local, state and federal officials and local community groups.
