CONSULTING
The Pape Group has hired Dan Hollingshead as executive vice president.
Hollingshead is responsible for strategic planning and development. He has more than 30 years of experience in auditing and consulting roles, with emphasis in publicly held companies, acquisitions, mergers and financial offerings. He served as managing partner of the Seattle office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oregon. He is a member of the business advisory council for the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business and the University of Oregon Foundation's board of trustees. He is a past chairman of United Way of Lane County.
FINANCE
Bay Bank has hired Charlie Hopkins as senior vice president of commercial lending.
Hopkins has 23 years of commercial lending experience. He began his banking career after pitching in the major leagues for three years with the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees and earning his business degree from Portland State University.
MARKETING
The Portland chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services has appointed Frank Lippert to the national board.
Lippert, a senior marketer at David Evans and Associates, served as the SMPS Oregon president from 2003 to 2004.
ENGINEERING
DCI Engineers has hired Christopher Johnson, Rollston Frangopoulos and Whitney Armbrust as structural project engineers and promoted Shirley Chalupa and Gaby Massaad to senior project manager.
Johnson has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and a master's in structural engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He has six years of structural design experience encompassing bridge design, elevated rail structures, sports arenas and tenant work. While in Portland, he has worked on several projects, including a 160,000-square-foot warehouse, high- end residences, a hospital expansion and the new headquarters of the Portland chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Frangopoulos is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's in architectural engineering. He has two years of experience abroad as an oilfield engineer working in Indonesia and India. He is working on the seismic evaluation of the Rainier School in Buckley, Wash., and staff residences at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon.
Armbrust has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University and a master's in civil engineering from Stanford University. She has two years' experience working at an aerospace firm performing structural analyses on satellites and six months' experience in structural engineering in the seismic evaluation of existing structures.
Chalupa has seven years of design experience working on multi- story cultural and governmental projects. She received a bachelor's in civil engineering in 1995 from Tri-State University and a master's in civil engineering in 1997 from Cornell University. Her project experience includes work with the educational, commercial, residential and industrial sectors throughout the Pacific Northwest and California as well as in New York and Washington, D.C. She is the senior project manager on the the Madras Aquatic Center.
Massaad has a background in structural engineering design and management including commercial, institutional and industrial projects throughout Washington and Oregon.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Timbercon Inc., a fiber optic product manufacturer has hird Tracy Houston as a project management assistant.
Houston is responsible for monitoring all work orders as they pass through Timbercon. Houston has experience in customer service, project management and analysis and was was employed at Baker Rock Resources in Beaverton as a dispatcher and customer service representative.
REAL ESTATE
RealNet Investments, a Portland tenant-in-common and 1031 exchange real estate investment firm, has hired Director of Finance Mitchell Seitzinger, Acquisitions Manager Eric Pubols, Asset Manager Jarvis Brecker and Transaction Coordinator Heather Kudray.
Seitzinger brings 20 years of experience in the areas of finance, risk management and business strategy. He was the corporate controller for Hansen Architectural Systems. He has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Oregon State University and is a certified public accountant.
Pubols brings 10 years of real estate experience, including construction evaluation, financial modeling, local market studies, contract negotiation and property management. He was acquisitions due diligence coordinator for Harsch Investment Properties. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in entrepreneurial studies from Babson College and an MBA in finance from the University of Oregon.
Brecker brings 20 years' experience in business development, architectural design, construction management and retail development. He was vice president of development for the Columbia Gorge Racing Association. He has a Bachelor of Science in international business from Lehigh University and served as vice president of the Lehigh University alumni board of directors from 1990 to 2001.
