ENGINEERING

Mark Jones of R&W Engineering has received his professional engineering license.

Jones is also a registered professional mechanical engineer in Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from Azusa Pacific University and an associate's in mechanical engineering. Jones possesses 11 years of experience in heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and cooling, plumbing, energy analysis and industrial process piping design.

ENGINEERING

Keith Hubbard has retired from Balzhiser & Hubbard Engineers.

In 1977, Hunnard became a partner in the firm. He served as president from 1985 to 1997 and has managed the mechanical engineering department since 1982. While with Balzhiser & Hubbard, he was involved with many projects, including Eugene Water and Electric Board's headquarters, the conversion of the Eastern Oregon State Hospital in Pendleton to the Eastern Oregon Correctional Facility, numerous projects at Sacred Heart Medical Center, University of Oregon Knight Library, Lane County Juvenile Justice Center, Cottage Grove High School, the 1998 expansion of Lane Community College, and the Integrative Science Building on the University of Oregon campus.

LAW

Sussman Shank has hired Patrick G. Rowe as an attorney in its litigation department.

Rowe, licensed in Oregon, Arizona and Washington, will focus his practice on complex litigation with an emphasis on environmental tort, which includes cases involving a wide variety of industrial and agricultural chemicals and radioactive materials released to groundwater, indoor air, outdoor air, soil and/or surface water. He will also focus on toxic tort, which involves cases where personal injury results from exposure to a toxic substance, such as asbestos or hazardous waste. Before joining Sussman Shank, Rowe practiced law in Phoenix for eight years.

ENGINEERING

Kelly, Pittelko, Fritz, and Forssen Consulting Engineers has promoted Matt Dolan to principal engineer.

A graduate of the University of Idaho, Dolan has over 22 years of experience and has been with KPFF for nine years. His experience includes site development and project management, stormwater management, utilities, large-scale grading projects, construction, surveying and environmental services. Dolan is the primary point of contact for KPFF's civil engineering services on several Department of State Overseas Buliding Operations, embassy projects and initial planning surveys. His key projects include new U.S. embassies in Istanbul and Quito.

MARKETING

Grady Britton branding, advertising and public relations has hired Ann Siqveland as its public relations account manager, Carol Colby as its media coordinator and Rebecca Gross as its administrative assistant.

Siqveland was promoted from an account coordinator position. A graduate of the University of Montana, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in history. She has experience in small business, nonprofit and government agency settings.

Colby was promoted from an administrative assistant position. A graduate of Saint Mary's College of California, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications. Prior to joining Grady Britton, Colby worked with Isis Corp. and Outward Bound.

Gross, a graduate of Truman State University, holds a Bachelor of Arts in French with a minor in art history. Gross has worked with the Oregon Ballet Theatre, ProMedia and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
