FINANCE

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network has hired Dave Davenport as a financial representative and Judy Amaral as an associate financial representative in the Bend office; Jacoby Stead as a financial representative in the Medford office; and Jill Mai and Miles Mattern as financial representatives in the Portland office.

Davenport is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where he earned a degree in economics with a financial concentration. He lives in Bend with his family and snowboards, plays golf and fly-fishes.

Amaral moved to Bend from New England four years ago. She studied art and business at the University of Massachusetts and worked in the finance department at Rhode Island School of Design. She travels and quilts.

Stead has been an intern since October 2006. He graduated from Southern Oregon University, where he majored in business management and minored in psychology. He is a Medford native and resident and enjoys dirt-bike riding, basketball, football and baseball.

Mai graduated from Portland State University, where she majored in finance while working two jobs. She is a native of Aloha and enjoys playing the piano.

Mattern has a degree in business from Oregon State University with a concentration in financial and international business. He enjoys playing the guitar, playing cards, traveling and bungee- jumping. He lives in Lake Oswego.

Poole has experience in the insurance industry. He is a California native and an outdoorsman. He has three grown children and nine grandchildren and lives in Salem with his wife, Paulette.

BUSINESS

Satre Associates has hired John Lively as its chief operating officer.

Lively will focus on overall business operations and planning to enhance the future growth of Satre Associates.

CONSTRUCTION

Green Building Services Inc. has promoted Tess Russo to technical consultant and added Renee Garrels, Russ Lowe, Andrea Thompson and Jen Tyler as project coordinators. Molly Winn Palmer also joins the firm as an intern.

Russo will develop analytical tools for existing buildings and provide Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design assessment, consulting and documentation management. She has been involved in various office, institutional, higher educational and hospitality projects.

Garrels is obtaining her master's degree in urban and regional planning with a specialization in regional economic development from Portland State University. Her experience includes technical assistance, program management and researching trends and innovations in sustainability.

Lowe was active in sustainable building and alternative energy communities in Utah and Washington before relocating to Portland. He has a background in interior design and project and product management.

Thompson has facilitated interaction between utility companies in the Northwest and the Northwest Energy Star program. In addition, she previously launched an energy efficiency marketing and incentive program for a gas utility and leveraged national green building efforts to benefit new residential construction.

Tyler holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia. She has a strong background in financial and data management.

Winn Palmer holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental health from Colorado State University. She is educated in air and water quality assessments as well as the isolation and identification of bacterial and chemical substances.

REAL ESTATE

Prudential Northwest Properties has hired Jennifer Askew, Scott Jenks, April Guzman and Linda Wion as agents.

ARCHITECTURE

SRG Partnership has hired Robert Lochner as a project designer, Tim Thor, Emily Dawson, Kendall Harris and Jasun Sherman as intern architects, Maggie Maxwell as a studio support administrator and Matt Denbo as a network technician and promoted Elaine Nelson to marketing resources coordinator.

Lochner rejoins SRG, bringing 12 years of experience that includes prior employment at SRG from 1999 to 2004. He has a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and is working on the master plan for the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine's New Bolton Center.

Thor has 10 years of experience with an emphasis in health care. A Montana State University graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture, he is working on a replacement hospital for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu.

Dawson is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture. She is working on Portland State University's Shattuck Hall and a the replacement hospital in Honolulu.

Harris has a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. His work includes the Shattuck Hall renovation at Portland State University.

Sherman has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon. His work includes a replacement Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland.

Maxwell graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism.

Denbo has an associate degree in applied science from Heald College.
