Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Sep 18, 2007
The Portland Business Alliance, in partnership with the city of Portland and the Portland Development Commission, has hired Allyson Reed to the newly formed position of downtown retail advocate.
Reed will coordinate with the business lobby, the city and the PDC to implement a portion of the Downtown Retail Strategy Update.
The Downtown Retail Strategy was adopted in 2002 by the Portland Business Alliance and the PDC to revitalize retail business in downtown and advocated the conversion of the former Meier & Frank building into a Macy's department store and luxury hotel and the renovation of the Transit Mall.
