Corners covered on Portland mall project
Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Mar 13, 2008 by Dan Carter
Kyler Hawking, left, and Jason Rivas, masons with Schonert & Associates, install pavers at the corner of Northwest Sixth Avenue and Couch Street as work on the I-205/Portland Mall Light Rail Project continues. Set to open in 2009, a new MAX light rail line, dubbed the green line, will connect Portland State University with Union Station and run to Clackamas County.
Among the many improvements for the downtown Mall will be refurbished sidewalks, upgraded lighting, new transit shelters and more public art.
