Oregon State University offers eco-engineering program
Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Mar 13, 2008 by Report
A new program at Oregon State University will allow students to study how to design within ecological systems while still meeting human needs.
OSU's Ecological Engineering program will combine engineering design with education on how natural systems, such as wetlands and river basins, can combine successfully with human activity.
The program is a joint venture between OSU's College of Agricultural Sciences and its College of Engineering.
The undergraduate degree will offer a specialized track in ecosystem restoration engineering and water resources engineering.
