Robert D. Dryden has been dean for the past 13 years. Dick Knight will be the interim dean while the university searches for a replacement.

Knight was previously the president of a local company specializing in liquid crystal display technology and also worked at Tektronix as vice president. He is currently retired and has been a PSU supporter for 15 years.

Dryden plans to take a short leave and then join PSU's faculty as a university professor.
