Oregon's Tonkon Torp LLP hires four

Tonkon Torp LLP has hired Haley Bjerk, Craig Foster, Lane Sanders and David Weiler as associates.

Bjerk joins the firm's business department and will work on corporate finance and general business matters. She recently completed a clerkship with Judge Robert Wollheim of the Oregon Court of Appeals. A graduate of the Willamette University College of Law, she also holds an undergraduate degree in sociology and a certificate of criminology from the University of Utah.

Foster joins the firm's business department and will practice in corporate finance and general business. Previously a seventh-grade science and math teacher, Foster worked as a summer associate with Tonkon Torp in 2007. He holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree in French language and literature from the University of Virginia, where he was an English-as-a-Second- Language instructor.

Sanders will practice corporate law. She was previously a corporate associate at Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett LLP, where her practice included work in mergers and acquisitions, credit and banking, and capital markets. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University.

Weiler joins the firm's litigation department. Also a former Tonkon Torp summer associate, he graduated from Harvard Law School and holds an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He was previously a summer judicial clerk for the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
