Daily Journal of Commerce (Portland, OR), Jan 28, 2009 by Reports

Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects has been selected by Vestas, the world's largest supplier of wind turbines, to design the firm's new American headquarters office building in Portland.

The first step in the design process will be final site evaluation and selection, followed by campus and building design. The company wants the building to be certified LEED platinum.

The proposed headquarters will be built in two phases. The first phase will be approximately 400,000 square feet of office space. A second phase could add another 200,000 square feet.Vestas' hope is for a finance plan to be created that would include developing tax and financing options with the state of Oregon and the city of Portland.
