Robert E. McAuliffe, a St. Louis attorney for Spencer, Fane, Britt, & Browne, was appointed to the Missouri State Council on the Arts. McAuliffe holds a bachelor's degree from Wabash College and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University. His appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on Oct. 13, 2011.
Tyrus R. Ulmer has been elected 2008 president of the St. Louis chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Ulmer is chief counsel for two business units of the Boeing Co.'s Integrated Defense Systems division. He and other elected officers and directors of the association assumed office in January.
Husch Blackwell Sanders has added Michael J.A. Leinauer as an associate attorney in the firm's intellectual property practice group. Leinauer prepares and prosecutes patent applications in several technology areas. At Husch & Eppenberger, he will represent clients in patent, trademark and copyright matters. Leinauer previously practiced with Armstrong Teasdale.
He received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2005, where he also received an LL.M. in intellectual property, with honors. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering with a focus on biomechanical engineering from Marquette University in 2001.
Jori B. Krischke has joined Armstrong Teasdale as a contract attorney. She is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group where she focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Krischke is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association. She received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2004 and her B.S. in chemistry from Valparaiso University in 1995.
Marcia Swihart Orgill has joined Danna McKitrick as an associate in the firm's transactional department. Orgill's practice focuses in the areas of estate, gift and international tax issues for high net- worth individuals. Orgill began her legal career at a Houston litigation firm. After relocating to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and later Paris, she put her legal work on hold while she taught English and sat on the school board of the International School of Kuala Lumpur. Upon returning to St Louis, Orgill obtained her master's degree in tax law from Washington University in St. Louis and selected Danna McKitrick for her return to practice. She earned her J.D., with high honors, from Duke University Law School and her B.A. in government, magna cum laude, from Lawrence University.
