PROVO - Ruth Goates Worlton Wilson, 81, died at 12:03 a.m. Thursday in the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo.
Born Aug 26, 1921 in Lehi, to Dr. William and Essie Goates Worlton, she married Ramon Browning Wilson July 27, 1945, in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Provo in 1979 upon retirement.
Survivors include sisters, Margaret Hunsaker, Grants Pass, OR, Ann Allen, Midvale; three daughters, Lynn Wilson, Evansville, IN, JoAnne (Jeff) Price, Sandy, Kay (Thom) Morgan, Farming-ton; sons, Bill (Sarah), Rochester, IN, Bruce (Julie), North Ogden; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four infant siblings, and sister, Madge (Ferris) Evans, San Diego.

She was a graduate of Lehi High School and Utah State University. During World War II she taught at Lehi High School while her husband, Ray, served in the U.S. Army. Most of her adult life was spent in W. Lafayette, IN where he was a Purdue University professor. She was a Purdue Women's Club officer and faculty advisor of the Purdue Dames Club. She was president of the Purdue Ward Relief Society, Primary, Young Women's organizations, and a supervisor at the Washington D.C. Temple. She was an accomplished seamstress and gourmet cook who befriended many Utah students at Purdue.
Services will be Mon. April 7, 2003, 11 a.m. Pleasant View LDS 9th Ward Chapel, 2445 N. 650 E, Provo. Friends and family may call Sun. 6- 8 p.m. Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and Mon. at the church in Provo 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
