SOUTH SALT LAKE -- A 19-year-old man accused of fleeing police was booked into Salt Lake County Jail after police dogs found him crouching among bushes Thursday afternoon.
About 5 p.m. a man was pulled over for a traffic violation near Fitts Park, 3616 S. 500 East. He gave the officer inaccurate information and fled when the officer discovered his true identity and an arrest warrant for allegedly fleeing a youth corrections facility when he was a juvenile, South Salt Lake police detective Darin Sweeten said.
The area was cordoned off. K-9s training in the area were called to the scene. The dogs found the man by 6 p.m., Sweeten said.
