1933~2003
Blaine Hilton Roberts, loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, and friend passed away at home June 9, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 5, 1933 in Cedarview, Duschesne County, Utah to Mac Hilton and Lexia Erma Johnson Roberts. He married LeNore JoAnn Bearnson on February 7, 1958 in Spanish Fork, Utah. Blaine received his education in Springville, Utah, graduating in 1952. He went to school at UTC and pursued a lifetime of knowledge. He was a man of integrity and honor, proudly serving his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korea Conflict.

He went on to spend 47 years in a trade that he loved, working and instructing in the Lineman Field.
His career spanned from Springville City, Provo City and UVSC as a Lineman Instructor bringing strength and enrichment to the Lineman Program.
He spent his life giving service to family, friends, and community. He served over 33 years in the Utah County Jeep Patrol, the Utah Search and Rescue Association, and the National Search and Rescue Association.
In his many years of service he held many offices in all three organizations and had the honor of receiving the Rex Huntsman Service Award.
He had a love of the out-of-doors which included hunting, fishing, and off-roading.
Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, JoAnn; five children, Barbara (daughter), David (son), Bruce (son), Linda (daughter), and Brent (son); seven grandchildren, Alissa, Justin, Blaine, Rachael, Brooke, Jesse, and Brandon; a great-grandchild, Raquel; three brothers, Val, Les, and Alvin; a sister Maxine; and a very special aunt, Ruby Roberts. Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Velma.
The family will be at home on Wednesday evening for anyone who would like to stop by.
Public Viewing and Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2003 at the LDS Church located at 1120 North 850 West in Provo, Utah.
Public Viewing is from 5:00-7:30 p.m. and the Memorial Service will begin at 8 p.m.
Private burial Friday in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent in the name of Blaine Hilton Roberts to the Huntsman Cancer Institution, 2000 Circle of Hope, SLC, Utah 84112.
