Two cable networks get in on the hype for "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," which opens today, with A&E airing a Biography (6 and 10 p.m.) of Arnold Schwarzenegger and USA repeating the 1991 sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (6 p.m.).
60 Minutes II (7 p.m., Ch. 2): Profiles of women Vietnam veterans and America's poet laureate.
Fame (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Just when we thought this lame show might be coming to an end, they're ADDING finalists. Well, adding "wild-card" contestants, which means more performers and more competition and more weeks of this really bad "American Idol" rip-off.
That '70s Show (7 p.m., Ch. 13): Sitcom veterans Betty White and Tom Poston make guest appearances. (Repeat)
Enterprise (7 p.m., Ch. 24): Archer and Reed are arrested as spies. (Repeat)
Boarding House: North Shore (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Holly isn't happy when she's held responsible after Veronica and her pals trash a hotel room.
American Juniors (7:30 p.m., Ch. 13): More young hearts are broken as contestants are eliminated.
Law & Order (8 and 9 p.m., Ch. 5): Investigating the deaths of a private-school administrator and a cabbie in a pair of repeats.
Drew Carey (8 and 8:30 p.m., Ch. 4): ABC burns off two more new episodes of this once-good, now-embarrassingly bad sitcom.
The Dating Experiment (9 p.m., Ch. 4): The bad news is this "reality" show is worse than most entries in the genre. The good news is that not much of anybody watched last week's debut.
AND EARLY THURSDAY: Turner Classic Movies will air a 24-hour tribute to the late Katharine Hepburn that features 11 of her movies and a documentary -- 1993's Katharine Hepburn: All About Me (4 p.m., TCM). The movie lineup is: Mary of Scotland (1936) at 4 a.m.; Holiday (1938) at 6:15 a.m.; Woman of the Year (1942) at 8 a.m.; Adam's Rib (1949) at 10 a.m.; Pat and Mike (1952) at noon; The Lion in Winter (1968) at 2 p.m.; Bringing Up Baby (1938) at 6 p.m.; The Philadelphia Story (1940) at 8 p.m.; Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967) at 10 p.m.; Little Women (1933) at midnight; and Undercurrent (1946) at 2 a.m. on Friday.
Today Show (7 a.m., Ch. 5): The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is scheduled to perform. And don't forget that the Choir will also appear on the nationally televised Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, which airs on tape-delay Friday at 9 p.m. on CBS/Ch. 2.
