NORTH SALT LAKE

-Grant Eldredge Mann, age 84, passed away Monday, September 8, 2003.

Born August 12, 1919 in Brigham City, Utah the son of E. David and Susan Grant Mann. He graduated from East High School and the University of Utah in 1941. Married Miriam Sconberg on October 7, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served as an LDS Chaplain with the Rainbow Division during World War II where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He also served in the Air Force in Korea. He left the military to raise his family in Utah and was in the insurance business. Grant was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings. He served a Spanish-American LDS mission and, along with his wife, served in the California San Jose Mission and in the Washington DC

Temple.

Survived by his wife, Miriam; children, Margie (Brent) Madson, Clifton, VA; Lawrence Mann, Alexandria, VA; Annette (Kent) Chambers, West Bountiful, UT; Richard (Ranae) Mann, Centerville, UT; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Neal Mann, Sun City, CA; and Ray (Betty) Mann, Sandy, UT; sister-in-law, Mary Mann, Bountiful; and brother-in-law, George Glenn, CA. Preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and a grandson, William Beckett Mann.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Camelot Ward Chapel, 55 East 350 North, North Salt Lake, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
