--Dontrelle Willis, Marlins, pitched five shutout innings and went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs as Florida routed Montreal 9-0.

--Aramis Ramirez and Todd Walker, Cubs. Ramirez homered twice and Walker went 3-for-5 with three RBIs as Chicago beat Pittsburgh 8-3.

--Jason Giambi, Yankees, hit a three-run homer to lead New York to a 5-1 win over the Devil Rays.

--Joe Crede, White Sox, hit a bases-loaded single in the ninth inning, sending Chicago past Kansas City 10-9.

--Lance Berkman and Jeff Bagwell, Astros, homered in Houston's 11- 1 win over St. Louis.

--Shawn Green, Dodgers, went 4-for-4 with four runs scored as Los Angeles defeated San Diego 11-4.

BOTH WAYS

Florida pitcher Dontrelle Willis went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs on Wednesday, leading the Marlins to a 9-0 victory over Montreal. Willis, who also pitched five scoreless innings, is 6-for- 6 at the plate this season. The NL Rookie of the Year has seven consecutive hits dating to last season, one shy of the club record held by Gary Sheffield and Preston Wilson.

MILESTONE

Kevin Brown earned his 200th career win Wednesday, leading New York to a 5-1 victory over Tampa Bay. Brown, who became the 101st pitcher in major league history to win No. 200, beat the Devil Rays for the third time this season. In all three outings, he gave up one run in seven innings.

IN CONTROL

Wade Miller won his fifth consecutive start against the Cardinals, leading Houston to an 11-1 victory over St. Louis on Wednesday for a three-game sweep. Miller (2-0) gave up two hits in seven shutout innings, but walked a career-high seven. He is 12-3 against the Cardinals and has a 1.46 ERA against them in his last five starts.
