Kansan is new principal of Highland High School

Paul Schulte, a former assistant principal in Kansas, has been named principal of Highland High School.

Schulte has experience in special education and working with diverse student populations. Prior to working as an assistant principal, he was a special education teacher and worked for several years at Box Elder Junior and Senior high schools in Brigham City.

Salt Lake School District Superintendent McKell Withers said, "His colleagues in Kansas give him high marks. I think he will be a great leader for Highland High."

Former Highland High School Principal Ken Powell has accepted a position in the Salt Lake City School District administration office. He will serve as the director of student information and projects.
