OREM -- Utah Valley State College President William A. Sederburg will venture away from his administrative duties to teach a strategic class on legislative process this fall.

The Tuesday night course will examine the legislative process, constitutional structure and modern developments of the federal legislature as well as Utah's local and state legislative branches.

Sederburg brings extensive expertise in the political arena to the classroom. After earning his master's in political science and doctorate in public administration from Michigan State University, he became the youngest member ever elected to the state board of education in Michigan. He was later elected to the state Senate where he implemented new budgets and state policies.

Sederburg also taught and lectured at various institutions, including Michigan State University, Wayne State University, Albion College, Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College, with topics ranging from technology to architecture. He considers teaching a privilege and continues to make it a top priority. He is contemplating teaching a leadership course next semester.

For more information about joining the class, call 863-8872.
