AMERICAN FORK -- The Alpine School District will close six elementaries, six junior highs and middle schools and three high schools to out-of-area students for the 2005-06 school year.
Affected elementaries are Eaglecrest, Freedom, Legacy, Saratoga Shores, Snow Springs and Westfield.
Secondary schools include American Fork Junior, Lakeridge Junior, Lehi Junior, Oak Canyon Junior, Pleasant Grove Junior, Willowcreek Middle, Lone Peak High, Pleasant Grove High and Timpanogos High.
American Fork Junior High will be closed except for students from the attendance areas of Mountain Ridge Junior and Pleasant Grove Junior who live within the American Fork High boundaries.
Students who wish to attend an unaffected out-of-area school must apply before March 15. Forms for out-of-area choice are available from neighborhood schools or at the Alpine School District Office, 575 N. 100 East in American Fork.
