Nellie Mary Inkelaar Miller 1919 ~ 2005 Nellie Mary Inkelaar Miller, 85, of Springville, Utah, passed away January 24, 2005. Nellie was born on Dec. 4, 1919 in Wichita, Kansas to Leonardus Thomas Inkelaar and Helen Georgieanna Bums Inkelaar. She was the third of their 16 children. When she was 18, she met her future husband, Phillip Walker Miller, II.

She and Phillip were married on July 28, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas and were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 7, 1942. While raising their seven children, Nellie received a Bachelor of Science degree and her teaching certificate from Ball State University. She was active in the Relief Society and also taught sewing, tailored suits, and made wedding cakes and wedding gowns for friends and family. Nellie is survived by her seven children and their spouses: Nell (Gerald) Gibb, Phillip (Qudsia) Miller, Linda (Earl) Price, Steven (Carolyn) Miller, Sheila (Milton) Kreischer, Vincent (Sandra) Miller, Christina (Alfredo) Querido, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nine of her siblings: Margareta, Leonardus, Flossie, Dena, Garritt (Jerry), Ruth, Dennis, Walter, and Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip after 38 years of marriage, her parents Leonardus and Helen, and her siblings, Lillian, Helen, Lenora, John, Freddie, and Jacob. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 451 South Main in Springville. There will be a viewing held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville and Monday at the church one hour prior to the services.
