THE ACADEMY THEATRE COMPANY, 3188 S. 400 East, will hold auditions for "The Masque of Beauty and the Beast" (this is not the Disney version) on Monday and Wednesday, from 5-9 p.m. Come prepared with a one-minute monologue. There are roles for men, women and children, 8 and older. Dancers are also needed (486-2728 or www.academyofpa.org). Play dates are June 10-July 23.

TOP NOTE THEATRICAL, for "Disney's Beauty and the Beast," on Tuesday and Wednesday, with callbacks scheduled for Thursday and Friday , at the Institute of Religion, 9191 S. 3431 West (Salt Lake Community College's West Jordan campus). These auditions are by appointment only (706-8995).

Come prepared to sing 16-32 measures of a musical theater piece. Bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided (no tapes or CDs, please). Play dates will be Aug. 12-19 in the Midvale Amphitheater.

MIDVALE COPPERVIEW THEATRE'S Arts Youth Program summer production of "Peace, Love and Tie-Dye: A '60s Tribute," on April 1, from 7-9 p.m., and April 2, 9 a.m.-noon, in the Copperview Community Center, 8446 S. Harrison (272 West).

Wendy Dahl-Smedshemmer is directing. Come prepared to sing an upbeat song of your choise. An accompanist and CD player will be provided. Also be prepared to learn a dance. Youths and young adults, 8 and older, are invited to audition (561-0075). Play dates are June 16-18.
