DRAPER -- One man was injured with a razor blade-type weapon during a fight at the Utah State Prison Saturday.
Two men in the Oquirrh 4 unit got into a fight about 10 a.m. One of the men was slashed with the razor, said Corrections Department spokesman Jack Ford.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to receive stitches and was returned to the prison a few hours later. The alleged attacker was moved to maximum security, Ford said.
No outside visitors were allowed at Oquirrh 4, which has approximately 144 inmates, for the rest of the day because of the incident, Ford said. Saturday is the normal visiting day at the prison.
