Furniture taken from firm, again
Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Jun 1, 2005
SOUTH JORDAN -- A South Jordan business is having trouble keeping its furniture.
Twice in May, burglars have entered the Riverpark II Office Complex, 10701 S. River Front Parkway (700 West), and walked out with several items of furniture.
"They're just as bold as can be," said South Jordan police Sgt. Dan Starks. "They hide in plain sight. They look like they know what they're doing so people don't pay attention to them."
The first theft was May 9 at approximately 6 p.m. Two men were caught on the business' surveillance camera removing items of furniture from the lobby.
The second incident was May 13 at about noon. This time, two other men entered the business and again walked out with furniture.
Because the thieves in each case are different, Starks said Tuesday investigators do not believe the incidents are related.
"If there's a connection, we'd love to know," he said.
Investigators did not disclose Tuesday what items were taken, saying they were withholding that information for investigative purposes.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact South Jordan police at 801-840-4000.
