Gasoline fire burns Orem man
Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Jun 1, 2005
OREM -- A man transferring gasoline from a 55-gallon drum to a gas can on Saturday suffered first and second degree burns over 10 percent of his body when the gas fumes flashed, police said.
Larry Pederson, 48, suffered burns to his arms, legs and hands, police Lt. Doug Edwards said.
Pederson put out the fire in his garage then was taken by ambulance to Timpanogos Regional Hospital, Edwards said. He was later released. An electric motor on the gasoline pump apparently caused the fumes to flash, Edwards said.
