0 Comments | Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Oct 1, 2005
The Utah Transit Authority will extend the time of service and add passenger capacity to its trains on the TRAX light-rail line this weekend.
UTA officials say they expect additional passengers because of both The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Semiannual General Conference and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
TRAX trains will operate on their regular 15-minute schedule Saturday, but extra cars will be in service to increase capacity. Also, additional trains will run during peak demand times.
On the north-south Sandy line, the first northbound train will leave the Sandy Civic Center Station at 5:14 a.m. On the university line, the first westbound train will leave the University Medical Center Station at 5:48 a.m.
