NEW YORK (AP) -- "Well," Lisa Kron's critically praised look at her comic yet sometimes prickly relationship with her mother, will make the journey from off-Broadway to Broadway.

The play, which was a hit for the Public Theater in spring 2004, opens March 30 at the Longacre Theatre. Preview performances begin March 10.

"Well" will star Kron and Jayne Houdyshell as her mother, in what the Associated Press called a "scrapbook from the past, a freewheeling memoir that is in a permanent state of digression." Leigh Silverman will direct.
