Too much to drink on New Year's Eve? Call 'Tipsy Tow'
0 Comments | Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Dec 24, 2005
Planning on a wild New Year's Eve? If you plan on drinking and don't have a friend to drive you home, no worries, call AAA.
From 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve until 6 a.m., AAA is offering free rides to those who have drunk too much and can't drive. The free ride program is called "Tipsy Tow." With one call, AAA says it will tow both you and your car home. No prior reservations can be made.
"Start 2006 off right," said Mike Bregante, AAA senior vice president of automotive product management, in a statement. "If you've been drinking, don't get behind the wheel. Give AAA a call and we'll make sure you get home safely."

To catch a ride with AAA, call 1-800-222-4357. The program is free and you don't need to be an AAA member. One other tip: If you have passengers with you, they can be towed to your house -- as long as there is room in the truck.
The "Tipsy Tow" program will be available to drivers in Utah, Nevada and Northern California.
