Local artist Richard Biddinger of Highland has been selected into the Arts for the Parks 2006 "Mini 100" for his "Trinity Creek," which features the Grand Canyon. The annual competition is designed to support and promote our National Parks and will announce the award winners in September.

The Provo Downtown Business Alliance has announced that 14 new sculptures will be unveiled on Center Street on Saturday. Installation of the pieces will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the unveiling will be at 6 p.m. Participating artists are Laura Lee Bradshaw, Michael Coleman, Tyler Meadows Davis, Anton Brent Gehring, Carol Jackman, Jason Millward, Rod Morgan, Nick Ryan Dahrl Thomson and Kelly Thurgood.

The Museum of Utah Art and History was one of 116 U.S. museums to receive support from the American Association of Museums and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Museum Assessment Program, a confidential peer-review process, will aid the MUAH by offering curators and consultants to work "with us toward the common goal of improving our services," said MUAH Executive Director Kandace Steadman.
