Vote to help ease traffic
Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Oct 29, 2006
Despite my normal reluctance to vote for a tax increase of any kind, there is one reason above all others that I will vote for Proposition 3 in November.
There is no doubt that without significant improvements, we will all spend more time in traffic. My time is valuable. But I keep thinking of a scenario in which I have ordered new furniture and the delivery driver spends 15-20 minutes extra in the truck getting to my house.
Does anyone think for one minute that a furniture company is going to absorb the cost of employees sitting idle in a truck?
There are many reasons to vote for Proposition 3, but this one alone seems compelling.
