Woman arrested in vandalism

Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Jun 14, 2007

SPANISH FORK -- A woman was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail early Monday for investigation of criminal mischief and stalking.

Police arrested the woman after she was seen near the Santaquin home of a woman she accuses of having an affair with her husband.

The woman, 56, was arrested and booked after police found key marks on the victim's car, with damage estimated at $1,500. The woman also admitted to following the victim to work and taking pictures of her, according to a police report.

Several witnesses contacted police around midnight Sunday after they saw the woman drive slowly several times past the home near 100 East and 100 North. Witnesses also told police the woman got out of her vehicle and walked around the victim's vehicle.

Authorities say the victim's vehicle has been vandalized in the recent past. Officials say someone poured syrup in the gas tank.

The woman was booked and released Monday morning after posting a $300 bail.
