Ex-U. professor wins communicator award

The Utah Society for Healthcare Communications and Marketing has named Pam Fogle its communicator of the year.

Fogle spent more than 20 years as director of the University of Utah's Office of University Communications.

In 2005, she was named the University's Parry D. Sorenson Distinguished Lecturer in Public Relations. While at the U. she taught public relations and developed her official lecture titled: "From Barney Clark to Cold Fusion: Lessons Learned During a Career in Public Relations."

Most recently, Fogle was director of marketing and public relations at Mountain Star's St. Mark's Hospital. She retired in June.

Prior to her work at St. Mark's Hospital, she worked with Mountain Star's Ogden Regional Medical Center, Brigham City Community Hospital and Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful.
