Utah Medical reports drop in net income

Utah Medical Products on Tuesday reported net income of $1.96 million, or 49 cents per share, for the 2007 fourth quarter. That compares with $2 million, or 51 cents per share, for the year- earlier period.
Sales totaled $7 million, down from $7.4 million.
The Midvale-based company said that for the full year 2007, it had net income of $7.9 million, or $1.98 per share, on sales of $28.5 million. That compares with net income of $8.2 million, or $2.02 per share, on sales of $28.8 million in 2006.
The company develops, manufactures, assembles and markets disposable and reusable medical devices.
