The Quaker Oats Co. said this week that some Aunt Jemima Pancake & Waffle Mix products have been recalled, due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Original, Original Complete and Buttermilk Complete products were shipped to 17 states, including Utah. The company said that about 2 percent of the involved product is within Quaker's control and was shipped to retail and mass-merchandise stores.

The products were sold in 2- and 5-pound boxes with "best before" dates of Feb. 8, 2009, through Feb. 16, 2009. No illnesses have been linked to the products and the health risk is limited to the product being raw or undercooked, the company said.

Customers may call the company's hotline at 800-407-2247 or access www.auntjemima.com for details.
