Driver of Jetta is sought in East High incident
0 Comments | Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Mar 7, 2008
Salt Lake police Thursday released a description of the vehicle investigators believe a gunman used to make his getaway after entering East High School earlier this week.
Wednesday morning, a female student spotted a man between two sets of doors at the northeast entrance of the school, 840 S. 1300 East. The man motioned for the student to come toward him. He then lifted his sweatshirt to reveal a gun tucked in his waistband, according to what the girl told police.
The girl ran back to her classroom and the man left the building.
Surveillance video shows the man between the two sets of doors. Detectives believe the gunman drove off in a late '90s or early 2000s Jetta with tinted windows and a large spoiler.
