Auction will benefit after-school programs

PROVO -- There will be something for everyone at the Provo School District's sixth annual Easter Basket Auction to raise money for after-school programs. The auction will be tonight in the Grand Ballroom of the Provo City Library at Academy Square.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served and the silent auction starts at 6:30 p.m. The live auction will be at 7:45 p.m. There will be bargains ranging from $20 to thousands of dollars:

-- A Chevy Aveo.

-- Time in vacation homes in Cabo San Lucas and Maui and a Villa in Italy.

-- Hunting trips.

-- A private concert with Kurt Bestor.

-- Private football & basketball camps with Brigham Young University coaching staff.

-- A trip for two to the opening BYU vs. Washington football game, including air fare and hotel.

-- Four VIP tickets for the Jazz vs. Timberwolves, row 1, VIP dinner and parking.

-- Rossignol skis and bindings with lift tickets to Sundance and The Canyons.

-- A 3-foot chocolate Easter rabbit.

-- A Tahitian black pearl.

Other items include Jazz tickets, ski packages, golf certificates to Thanksgiving Point and the Homestead, overnight stays in Zermatt, Sundance and the Anniversary Inn, art work, dinner at the La Caille Restaurant, Olwz and Bees tickets, car-care items, books, dinner and entertainment coupons, jewelry, a tax preparation certificate, a helicopter ride for two, gardening supplies, scrapbooking, a guitar, camping and outdoor items, sports equipment and more.
