Early morning blaze destroys Sandy home

Deseret News (Salt Lake City),  May 6, 2008

SANDY -- A home was destroyed in an early-morning fire on Monday.

The fire was reported by a neighbor about 5 a.m. at the home near 8700 South and Sundance Drive (2600 East). The home was vacant and being remodeled, firefighters said.

"There was a roof collapse, we went defensive on it," said Zach Robinson, a spokesman for the Sandy Fire Department.
