Tours of historic buildings offered

The Utah Heritage Foundation is offering guided tours of historic Salt Lake City buildings. Sites include:
-- Salt Lake City-County Building, 451 S. State -- Noon and 1 p.m. Tuesdays through August, except on holidays. The one-hour tour is free.
-- The Kearns Mansion (Governor's Mansion), 603 E. South Temple - - Between 2 and 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through August, except on holidays. The 40-minute tour is free.
-- Meditation Chapel in Memory Grove, 485 N. Canyon Road -- Between noon and 2 p.m. Wednesdays and the first Saturday of the month through September. The free tour also includes the Memorial House when not booked for private functions.

Tours also are available of the David Keith Mansion, 529 E. South Temple; the McCune Mansion, 200 N. Main; and the Marmalade District, a historic residential neighborhood west of Capitol Hill. Tours are available weekdays by appointment only and are open to groups of 10 to 20 people for $3 per person. Schedule tours two weeks in advance by calling 533-0858.
